MOVE_UK

MOVE_UK aimed to develop a method for validating Automated Driving Systems (ADS) by observing and analysing the actions of real people, while they drove a number of Land Rover Discovery Sport vehicles. The cars featured Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as Automated Emergency Braking and Traffic Sign Recognition. They were fitted with RADAR sensors and additional kit to record a package of data about the actions of the drivers and the surrounding scene. This project created a unique resource of data in the UK, a data set can that then be used in novel ways, such as providing smart cities with insights into ways of improving transport services and preparing their infrastructure for AVs. The data also describes real driving scenarios which provide benchmarks to validate ADAS and ADS. This in turn is contributing to development of the standards for ADS regulations.
