Description: This report details the findings from a review of the literature that sought to understand which activities could be safely performed by a driver in a conditionally automated vehicle using Automated Lane Keeping System (ALKS). The aim was to understand the kinds of task that might be safely performed by a driver when ALKS is in control of the vehicle, so as to not materially impact the safe resumption of control when a transition demand for manual control is enacted by the system.
