MERGE_Greenwich

MERGE was a consortium developing a scalable commercial pilot for an autonomous vehicle (AV) ride-sharing service which was integrated with public transport systems. The results of the pilot indicated that journey times could be reduced and car parks would be in less demand – encouraging a greener, cleaner future for cities.

Building on our expertise on other self-driving vehicle projects, TRL has developed a business case for AV ridesharing which demonstrates how it can improve the efficiency of the way we travel around cities, improve air quality, and tackle congestion.
